Francesco Andreini (1548-1624) was an Italian actor who was not only celebrated for his craft, but also for his striking presence and ornate performances. He was born in Florence and began his career as a member of the famous theatrical troupe, the Gelosi, which was considered the premier acting company of its time.
Andreini was known for his flamboyant style and his ability to captivate audiences with his emotive performances.
